Become a Guardian ad Litem.

A voice for those who don't have one - community volunteers who represent abused, neglected, and dependent children in the State Court System.

What is a Guardian ad Litem?

North Carolina Guardians ad Litem are trained, independent advocates who represent and promote the best interests of abused, neglected, and dependent children in the State Court System. As a GAL volunteer, you become the consistent voice for one child as their case moves through the courts.

How to get involved

Informational sessions are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Gaston County Courthouse GAL office. Program volunteers and staff are there to answer questions and walk you through next steps.
